Sunkit Roof Types

Roof Types

There is a suitable SUNKIT® system for almost any type of roof. Various different mounting constructions have been designed, developed and extensively tested to maximise the energy generating possibility of any properties roof.

Tiled roof:
Brackets are attached to the roof and used to support a railing system called Solarrail. The modules are then mounted onto the Solarrail to provide a safe and secure and watertight installation.

Corrugated roof
Purpose built, long threaded screws are attached to the cross beams. An integrated rubber seal is used to maintain a water tight seal. The Solarrail mounting system is then securely attached to the screws and used to support the modules via a clamping system.

Flat roof
To assemble a SUNKIT® on a flat roof of up to 10 meters in height, an easy to install aluminium mounting construction (called lightbox) is used onto which the modules are mounted. This system uses ballast to hold it in place meaning the flat roof does not have to be penetrated.
